9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

At this year’s Annual meeting, we aimed to (RE)Define Aging in America and recognize LeadingAge members who are at the forefront of this sea change. DC aging professionals helped us in (RE)Imagining possibilities, (RE)Examining opportunities, (RE)Educating each other and (RE)Asserting our voice around the myriad issues that (RE)Conceive what it means to age well.

Aging professionals from around the District collaborated while learning about the future of aging services. They chose from a diverse selection of education sessions that focused on everything from the reform of the District’s long-term care services system to emergency & disaster planning for senior communities to managing a diverse nursing staff to combating compassion fatigue for service coordinators.

In addition we added a Governance track to help them educate and inform their executive team and trustees about the importance of board planning and succession planning.

Join us next year for another opportunity to network and learn with a few of DC’s prominent leaders in the field of aging.
