Call for Presentations

LeadingAge DC is seeking original, thought-provoking presentations that enable participants to share with and IMG_8199learn from one another.

To create a rich, engaging learning experience, sessions should:

  • Pertain to the Senior Services field, including: Long-term care, Assisted Living, Home & Community Based Services (HCBS) & Adult Day
  • Incorporate interactive educational methods.
  • Demonstrate measurable outcomes/results.

Reimbursement: LeadingAge DC cannot pay honorarium, travel, per diem or other costs for speakers. In addition, speakers are responsible for all the expenses incurred in the development of their sessions.

Handouts: In an effort to be better environmental stewards, LeadingAge DC will not print hand-outs, however we will post them on our website. If you would like to make copies for the attendees that is fine.

Deadline: All proposals are due by July 15, 2015.

Proposal Content: All proposals should be submitted electronically to ckramer@leadingage.org and include the following information:

  • Session Title—one that clearly reflects the session content.
  • Session Goals & Objectives —provide a detailed summary of your session listing both your goals/objectives – content should be brief. The narrative should describe the topics to be covered and explain context and significance of your presentation, including any measurable outcomes/results (please submit form on next page).
  • Session Length—Sessions are one hour. If more time is needed for your talk, a Part I & Part II could be offered — each would be one hour in length.
  • Speaker Bio— a short 1-2 paragraph bio should also be included. Please include your current job title, organization, mailing and contact information as well as academic history (degree, discipline, academic institution) for each speaker.
