New PBJ Resource Available to Members

June 28, 2016 LeadingAge DC Executive Director

On July 1, long-term care organizations must begin submitting staffing and census information using the CMS Payroll-based Journal (PBJ) system. This represents a significant change from the current way providers are collecting this information and a challenge to weave into already busy schedules. Over the last three months, LeadingAge has listened to member concerns about this change and looked for a solution to help.

Help is here: LeadingAge Silver Partner, OnShift, will begin offering their OnShift Payroll-Based Journal Reporting Software to LeadingAge members exclusively through a special discount program which will launch this week.

How will the software help? The OnShift PBJ software is easy to use and simple to install. Benefits include:
  • Collects employee, direct care hours, and census information from multiple systems.
  • Provides an easy-to-use check-in application.
  • Classifies direct care hours automatically.
  • Enables a user to view direct care hours by job code, labor category, employee, and date.
  • Provides submission-ready reports that comply with CMS’ technical specifications.
What will it cost? LeadingAge members receive a 33 percent discount on the monthly fees with a three-year contract. Costs include:
